Trauma Recovery Network
What is Trauma Recovery Network (TRN)?
Serious psychological trauma results from the natural and man-made disasters, war, gun violence, and crime afflicting both survivors and the first responders who come to their aid.
Since 1995, at the time of a terrorist bombing in Oklahoma City, Trauma Recovery/ Humanitarian Assistance Programs has brought mental health clinicians with evidence-based therapy to the scene of disasters, providing pro bono care to thousands. The Trauma Recovery Network® (TRN®) grew out of this tradition and now helps hundreds of skilled therapist/volunteers serve the communities affected by disasters through a comprehensive program of preparation, mitigation, rescue and response.
Who We Work With:
The identified community of focus is comprised of those individuals established to be "first responders" during whatever current operational environment or state of emergency including their support staffs we are in, within the TRN area of response. This will be provided via telehealth and in person as appropriate. We are covering the 11 county Twin Cities, (St. Paul, Minneapolis), area of Minnesota. The 11 counties we serve are the same 11 counties identified by the Metropolitan Emergency Services Board (https://mn-mesb.org/) for the purposes of paralleling already existing emergency services.
How We Work:
We will provide 6 to 10 sessions. The models used will be the basic 8 phase protocol (EMDR), EMD, REP, and EMDR-PRECI.
